This really works...
"Love this product! We have a LOT of stinky kit with the whole family being active. This really works, it smells lovely and fresh and I like that it’s better for the environment too. Thought it might be expensive but you honestly only need a small amount. Have already recommended to gym buddies!"

My Scepticism was literally washed away
"I’m a marathoner, so I run, a lot, also I am very sweaty, as much as other detergents seem to be ok at cleaning, after a while, whilst training, the faint smell of BO would be very apparent, saw Gymwash and read it’s claims, sceptically I ordered some, my scepticism was literally washed away, it surpasses all its claims, no harsh chemical or synthetic perfume smell to mask the b.o. just clean odourless training gear."

Open minded - converted
With a skeptical but open mind I plunged to purchase GymWash. Hubbies gym tops being nylon hold the smell and don’t wash great - having used this a few times. All smells have gone. To add his arm pits were crusty from too much deodorant and this too has gone and are soft again like new. Colours are still bright - not bleached. Would highly recommend to give this a go.

Fantastic!
"I’m a big bloke and sweat buckets at the gym. Gymwash makes my kit clean, smell fresh and doesn’t irritate my skin. Fantastic! Just wish I had tried it sooner!"
— Edwin C.

Now part of my fitness routine
"Loving Gymwash. Using it routinely to keep fitness kit fresh. No longer have I that ONE top in the drawer that carries THAT gym smell. Just home from a fitness week in hot conditions and Gymwash is having its toughest test yet 😎"
— Cathy M.

Gets rid of sweaty smells
"Brought this for my running kit because no matter what I tried I could not completely get rid of the stale sweaty smell. This product seems to have achieved that. For the first use I did make a paste to rub into the armpits of all gym/running T-shirts. I now always soak the T-shirts for an hour in a solution of 1-2 tablespoons in water before washing them in a tablespoon or two of Gymwash and this seems to work. I would recommend this product"

Frequently asked questions

How many washes per bag?
One bag is 900g and contains 45 washes.
Is it vegan & cruelty free?
Yes to both! All our products raw materials are vegan and our product is also cruelty free.
Is this product scented?
We use tea tree essential oil which leaves a fresh scent on your clothes without it being overpowering.
Is this suitable for sensitive skin?
None of our ingredients are known to irritate skin. We don't use any synthetic fragrances which usually irritate people's skin. Our founder has sensitive skin and our product has never caused them irritation. We offer a money-back guarantee so please get in touch with us support@gymwash.com if you aren't happy.
Where do I put the powder?
We recommend placing the powder directly into the drum of your machine.
How many scoops per wash?
One TBSP (20g) is our recommended starting point. For very-stinky loads use two TBSP (40g).
Is there a scoop included?
We're doing our best to use less plastic. A lot of our customers already have scoops from other products. We felt it was wasteful to include one. Don't worry if you don't have one. One wash is one TBSP (approximately 20 grams).
Does this work on a cold wash?
We recommend washing your clothes in line with the labels on your clothing. Usually, 40 degrees is a good starting point. However, our product works well at 30 degrees also.
Is it colour-safe (ie doesn't fade darks/bright colours)?
Absolutely! Colour fading is usually caused by products that contain bleaches. Our product contains natural bleaching agents which are generally safer than chlorine bleaches.
If you are doing a soak using GYMWASH then don't soak for over an hour. As excessive soaking could lead to an increased chance of colour fading.
Also, if you are concerned about colour fading then be sure to test our product on a small part of your item.
Is it suitable for wool items?
We don't recommend using GYMWASH on any woolen items (including merino wool). As our product is a bio detergent that contains enzymes. It's thought that any bio detergents containing enzymes can potentially damage the fibres in the wool.
Is it safe for use with a septic tank?
Yes, absolutely.
Can you use this on waterproof items?
For items that have a waterproof coating (like goretex) we don't recommend our product as it's thought that bio detergents containing enzymes can potentially harm the waterproof coating.
Does this product contain limonene?
Yes - GYMWASH contains a very small amount of limonene, which is a naturally occurring compound found in the tea tree oil we use for fragrance (typically around 0.5–1.5%). While the amount is tiny in the context of the full product, we include it on the label in line with allergen regulations.
